      Adolfo Cazorla Montero

      Adolfo Cazorla Montero obtained his Dr. degree from the Technic University of Madrid, and since 1987 is working as a Professor in the Department of Projects and Rural Planning in this University. He has been working in several positions for the Public Admistration, General Director of Food and Agriculture and Vice Counselor of Economy and Employment in the Madrid Region, General Director of the Spanish National Institute of Research and Agricultural Technology, and in 2004 he was appointed as General Secretary of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has participated in several projects at international and European level, in agricultural research for development activities. He has also coordinated support for international research organizations in American, Asian and EU countries. Publications include 21 books and book chapters and articles published in scientific journals such as Estudios Geográficos, Serie Geográfica, Agrociencia, Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research, European Planning Studies, Community Development Journal, or American Journal of Evaluation.

      Ignacio de los Ríos Carmenado
      Profesor Titular de Universidad

      Ignacio de los Ríos, PhD. on Agricultural Engineering, specialized on Rural Development, by the Technic University of Madrid. Since 1996 he worked as a Professor in the Department of Rural Planning and Projects (Technic University of Madrid). He coordinates the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Union Sustainable Development in Agriculture Master Course; he is director of the postdoctorate course Certification in Project Management: basis for the competence, endorsed by AEIPRO-IPMA (International Project Management Association; and he is member of the Research Group GESPLAN and the Group for Innovation in Education GIE-Project. During the last 17 years he cooperated with Governments, Universities and Enterprises in the framework of Engineering Projects, Planning and Rural Development in Europe and Latin America. He is author of several publications: 13 books and book chapters, and articles in scientific journals such as Estudios Geográficos, Agrociencia, European Planning Studies, or Community Development Journal.
